Paul Harris Fellows
Mrs. Robyn Kendall
Background to this award was given by PP Graham Burmeister who reminded us of the great humanitarian work done by Rotary including assisting with building schools and hospitals in third world countries through F.A.I.M. and the donation of millions of dollars for charity and Polio eradication.
This type of altruism, Graham said, was at the heart of the work as a foster parent that Robyn has done since 1990. In the year she started fostering children, Robyn and her husband Rod had four children of their own. In the ensuing years 55 children have been fostered and assisted to make their way in life. This is an absolutely outstanding effort.
After being presented with the award of a badge, medal and certificate by President Geoff, Robyn thanked the club and said she was overwhelmed by the recognition. She said she enjoyed what she did and thanked her husband Rod for his assistance.
Robyn was given a standing round of applause by all present.

Paul Milde
A Saphire Pin was awarded to Paul who was already a recipient of a Paul Harris Fellow Award. A Sapphire Pin is the symbol given for second and subsequent Paul Harris Fellowship Awards.
Paul, our now new President, thoroughly deserved the award for his tireless work in secretarial roles in the Club including Food and Wine and Gears and Beers festivals.
Members enthusiastically applauded Paul for his achievement.

Rotarian of the Year
A popular choice for this award, chosen by the President and Board was Malcolm Robertson who in his unassuming manner kept us all fed and watered and did other jobs when asked.
